COVID-19 Update at Cross Church
During this time of ongoing concern regarding the COVID-19 virus it is important that we be proactive as the family of faith in our community and not fall prey to an overwhelming spirit of fear. We now as always can trust in the Lord Jesus Christ who has all power, all wisdom & knowledge, and is always with us. This has not caught Him by surprise.
At Cross Church, our goal will be not to overreact as a church or not to under react as well because the concerns are a reality we face and there are those within our community that face this concern with a higher risk to their health. Our desire is to work with the suggestion of our local and federal government of helping slow the spread of this virus while maintaining our religious liberty to freely & safely gather for worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, & gospel proclamation.
Here is our plan as a church during this crisis:
Update to Weekend Services
We are suspending ALL weekend on-campus services and will move to one 10am online service that can be viewed live on our website and Facebook. We encourage you to tune in live and interact with our staff and church family, service notes and Kids @ Cross resources will also be available.
Additional MeetingsMid-week bible groups at both campuses as well as Celebrate Recovery at our Phoenix Campus will cease to meet in person and move to an online platform.
Giving During This Time
Your gifts are still vitally important to the health of our church and there are a number of ways to give outside of our on-campus service.
- Mailing your offering to Cross Church at 17475 W Bell Rd Surprise, AZ 85374
- Online giving portal on our website.
- Text CROSSCHURCHCARES to 940-00.
As you know, the work of the ministry requires the vital contributions of our church family.
Our offices will still be open and available for in-person scheduled meetings. We are taking proper precautions in cleaning and sanitizing all surfaces through our buildings.
All calendar events such as Pizza with Pastor, Wild Game Feast, March Madness are canceled or delayed at this time.
Helping Those In Need
If you are in need of help in this difficult time, we are accepting benevolence requests and have Food Pantries open on both of our campuses.
The Food Pantry located at our Surprise campus is open on Thursdays from 12 - 4pm. To drop off essentials for people in need, please bring those to the Surprise Campus from 9am - 4pm, Monday through Wednesday.
The Food Pantry located at our Phoenix Campus is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9am - 11:30am. To drop off essentials for people in need, please bring those to the Phoenix Campus on Tuesday from 9am - 4pm.
We are monitoring this situation closely, and are continuing to make plans based on the well-being of our church family and community. Please pray for wisdom for our church leaders and for us as a people of faith to use wisdom, truth, love, and grace to share the Gospel.
This world needs hope and we know that hope has a name… Jesus. Let us love and make Jesus known to the world around us!
